And considering that the car itself is pretty much impossible to find nowadays in the first place, the book itself is even worse than that!!! 44 pages of pure rotary turboing experimentation :)

Thank you Yahoo Auction! 3000 yen (23$ or so) well spent.

That looks pretty snazzy! At first I was thinking “man, that owner’s manual is pretty thin!”. Then I realized it probably wasn’t the owners manual.

Yeah not the manual... More like a 44 pages booklet for mazda to sell the car to people who already bought one :)

The logic behind this booklet is probably why manufacturers don’t make them anymore lol. Advertising a car to people who already bought it, is wasting money a little :)

Yup, would be more suited to the waiting lounge when you’re getting your oil changed, or something.

It’s a rotary.. you don’t get your oil changed... You get your oil topped up ;)

I avoided the RX-8 as a weekender because I am terribly frightened of rotaries. I can’t even maintain a regular piston engine (yet)! I’m going to try and DIY spark plugs in the spring. Just 4 of them...not..12 :)

Meh.... if you’re not afraid of high fuel bills, rotaries are fine. Just let the car warm itself up every single time you start it and you’ve already saved an extra 10 years to your engine.

Change oil every 3000 miles, check your oil level every 500 miles and top up to make sure it’s always full at 100% and not 80%, then just rev it all you want! It’s made for that and it loves it!! (if it’s been warned with a 3 weeks notice prior to revving)

Come to the PNW. Still lots of RX-7's and other Mazda Rotary Experiments (RX) around

I’m not talking about the SA22C itself. There are a shitload of them, but of the specificity of the rarity of the Turbo SA22C. Less than 2000 were produced, in Japan only :)

Ah, I love a good brochure (I’d consider that a brochure, unless I’m missing something).

There’s just something about seeing a car advertised by the manufacturer in stapled, glossy pages.
